Setting your calendar and prices
Open the nights guests can book, set a nightly price, a weekend price and per-night overrides, and how the 60 open nights are counted.
How the calendar works
A night is not bookable until you open it. Select a range and choose Open, or Blocked for nights you want to keep. Nights you have not set are simply not available, so there are no surprise bookings. You can manage up to 18 months ahead.
Founding Hosts commit to at least 60 open nights in the next 12 months. The count updates as you open nights and is shown on the calendar step.
Prices
- Nightly price: what a night costs before any fees. Money is always in Australian dollars.
- Weekend price: an optional higher rate for Friday and Saturday nights.
- Per-night overrides: select nights on the calendar and give them their own price, for example over Christmas or a long weekend. Leave a private note so you remember why.
- Cleaning fee: charged once per stay. It is part of the accommodation subtotal, so fees apply to it too.
- Bond: no bond is taken from guests. Damage is handled by GetawayShield claims instead: claim within 14 days of check-out with photos and receipts (how GetawayShield works).
Stay rules
Set a minimum stay (two nights is the default) and, if you like, a maximum. You can also ask for advance notice before check-in, keep a preparation night between stays and choose how far ahead guests may book.
What guests see
Guests always see the total for their dates first, with the service fee already included. A per-night figure may appear alongside, never above it. See Booking a stay: the total price comes first.
Tip
Open the school holidays and long weekends early. They book first, and a blocked or unset night in the middle of a holiday week costs you the whole week.
