Booking a stay: the total price comes first
The price you see for your dates is the price you pay, service fee included. How search, the listing page and checkout fit together.

How prices work
- Enter your dates and how many guests. Every result shows the total for those dates, with the 12% service fee already included. A per-night figure may appear too, but never above the total.
- On the listing page the same total is shown, with the breakdown: accommodation, cleaning fee, service fee, and in Victoria or the ACT the state levy.
- At checkout you see exactly the same figures: Accommodation, Service fee (12%), Total. Nothing new appears.
Prices are in Australian dollars. No bond is taken: damage is handled by GetawayShield claims, so nothing is held on your card for it.
Returning guests
Returning to a home you stayed at in the last 12 months? Your service fee is 6%, and the listing and checkout say "Welcome back: returning guest service fee 6%".
Booking
Choose your dates, check the house rules and the cancellation policy, and pay by card. Some hosts offer Instant Book; others confirm your request first. See Instant Book and booking requests. Guests can search and book from 30 November 2026.
