Your privacy and what we show
What is public on a listing, what stays private, and what guests and hosts can see about each other.
On a listing, guests can see
- The title, description, photos and video, the suburb and state, and an approximate location on the map (rounded to about one kilometre).
- The price, house rules, cancellation policy, amenities, safety features and disclosures, and the Property Personality result.
- Your state registration number, in NSW and WA, because the law requires it on the advertisement.
- The Founding Host badge, if granted.
Guests cannot see
- Your street address or unit number. These are sent only with a confirmed booking.
- Your check-in instructions and codes.
- Your compliance declarations, your quiz answers, your earnings estimates and your private calendar notes.
- Your email or phone number. Messages go through OzGetaways.
On reviews
A review shows the guest's first name and photo, their scores and comments, and the month of the stay. Never a surname, email or phone number.
Early-access sign-ups
If you left your details on our coming-soon page, they are used only to tell you when hosting and booking open and are never shown publicly or sold.
