How long the Founding Host 0% is guaranteed
Founding Hosts pay 0% on every booking made from launch day, 30 November 2026, to 29 November 2031. Guaranteed for 5 years, and it does not lapse.
The timeline
- Launch day, 30 November 2026: the guarantee starts for every Founding Host at once.
- From then to 29 November 2031, every booking made with a Founding Host listing has a 0% host fee. Guests pay our 12% service fee, included in the price they see.
- After that, our standard host fee applies. It is 0% today. If it ever changes, we will give notice first.
The dates are the same for everyone. It does not start with your first booking. If your listing is granted Founding Host status after launch, your 0% is guaranteed from then until 29 November 2031.
Which rate applies to a booking
The rate is fixed on the day the booking is made and never changes afterwards, even if our published rates change later. A booking made on 29 November 2031 is a 0% booking, even if the stay is later.
Returning guests
A guest returning to your home within 12 months of a completed stay there pays a 6% service fee instead of 12%. Your host fee stays 0%. Another home you host does not count.
No lapsing
Founding Host status does not lapse, even if a property goes a while without a booking. It is only removed if a listing breaks our terms.
