What "ready for launch" means
The four listing statuses, what a listing needs before you can mark it ready, and what "Needed before launch" is asking for.
A listing is always in one of four states.
- Draft: you are still working on it. Only you can see it.
- Ready for launch: you have finished and want it live on launch day. Still only you can see it.
- Live: guests can find and book it. OzGetaways switches ready listings live on 30 November 2026.
- Paused: hidden from guests for a while, but nothing is lost.
To mark a listing ready
- A title in your own words, not the placeholder made from the address.
- A street address, so we can place it on the map (guests see the suburb and an approximate location only).
- A nightly price above $0.
- At least one photo.
- Your state's short-stay questions answered. You do not need a registration number to mark ready, only to go live where the law requires one.
"Needed before launch"
Some listings can be ready but not yet allowed to go live. The badge lists exactly what is missing. The usual reasons are a NSW or WA registration number, or a Tasmanian permit number or exemption. Add the item and the badge disappears.
Founding Hosts
The Founding Host checklist is separate and a little longer: at least eight photos, the registration number where your state requires one, at least 60 open nights in the next 12 months and the Property Personality quiz. See How to qualify as a Founding Host.
